The performance-oriented Abarth already gets a ton of media attention for being such a little firecracker, but many owners still want to put their own spin on the ride. Individuality is big in the tuner segment. People always want to show off something that stands out a bit more than the rest. If you’re looking to give your Abarth some extra flair, Pogea Racing would be happy to take it up a notch or two.

Who is Pogea Racing?

Pogea Racing GmbH is a German tuner that develops aftermarket parts and transforms customer cars into one-of-a-kind masterpieces. Using high-quality materials and the latest manufacturing technologies, the creative minds at Pogea can turn the most ordinary vehicles into the stuff of dreams. As a major player in the German and global tuning scene, Pogea Racing offers all kinds of modification packages for customers. The Pogea Racing Abarth is a fine example of how something great can become even better.

ECU Tuning Leads to Performance Upgrades

The well-known German tuning group offers two distinct upgrade levels. With the standard upgrade, you get an enhanced electronic control unit that kicks the horsepower up to 162 at 4,900 rpm and the torque to 202 lb-ft. While this mod might not sound like much, the difference in performance is noticeable. The full upgrade brings the horsepower up to 168 at 4,900 rpm and torque to 210 lb-ft. With a new top speed of 140 mph and a 0 to 60 mph time of 6.6 seconds, this is definitely the more desirable package of the two. Of course, it’ll also cost more too. 95octane breaks down why this small improvement means so much:

That may not seem like a big power output, considering the 500 Abarth rolls off the line with a 160 hp under the hood, but it does mean that Pogea was able to access the locked down EUR 6 ECU of the 500, something that other aftermarket tuners haven’t yet been able to accomplish.

Aesthetic Upgrades

Performance upgrades aren’t the only options on the table. Pogea Racing offers various body kit parts in both composite fiberglass and carbon fiber. You can go with a complete set for a uniform look, or mix and match to your liking. Spoilers, splitters, intakes, side skirts, mirror caps, and more can be added according to your liking.

The most impressive visual upgrade is no doubt the 18″ XCUT alloy wheels (available in the US). The wheels are an instant eye-grabber with their 10-point star appearance, concave orientation, and contrast coloring. They’re also highly durable and ultra-lightweight to give you an edge on the street. The red Pogea Racing logo is stamped into the center of each wheel, and the company name is also molded into the rim for a custom look.
