Everyone who wants to own a Fiat, probably actually wants to own a Ferrari, myself included. Unfortunately there’s that little problem called money, so we have to “settle” for the Fiat. Not that I mind too much. Owning a Ferrari seems like a headache; always having to worry about scraping your $10,000 bumper on pebbles, or taking on a second job just to pay for routine maintenance.
Fortunately for us, Fiat just so happens to own Ferrari, which allows them to create things like this: the Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari. According to Autoblog.com, this runt is packing:
a 180-horsepower 1.4-liter 16-valve turbocharged four-pot, beefed-up suspension, wheels and brakes and a special paint scheme inspired by its big brother, the Ferrari 430 Scuderia.
How much does it cost?
Not only does the little runt try to live up to the Ferrari performance pedigree, it also lives up to the price: Autoblog is claiming the price to be $47,000! That would put it potentially $26,000 more than the Fiat 500 Abarth! Not worth it you say? Well, several smart commentators noted that if you remove the VAT, it would more likely be sold for $32,000 to $36,000 in the US. Still pretty overpriced, considering that is double the base Fiat 500. But you know plenty of people will pay for one, given the chance to own just 1 of 152 to be sold.
